This course is focused on the common waste management issue that companies face every day. It will address the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) requirements identification and classification requirements for listed and characteristic wastes per Title 22, California Code of Regulations (CCR), Division 4.5, Chapter 11. This course can help most companies comply with the complex federal and state regulatory requirements for the generation, management, and transport of hazardous & universal wastes. This course does not address the generation, management, and transport of all types of hazardous waste.

For example, this course will not address the following wastes or waste management topics:

• Mixed radiological and hazardous waste
• Biological or infectious waste
• Pharmaceutical wastes (other than P or U listed wastes)
• Import or export shipments of hazardous wastes
• Treatment or reclamation of hazardous wastes
