Course Overview
This course will focus on safe work practices and the correct use of compressed air. However, it is important to convey the hazards and potential injuries that might occur if compressed air is used improperly or inappropriately.
This course contains two short learning modules, including:
•Hazards
of Compressed Air
•Using
Compressed Air Safely
Course Objectives
The objectives of the ShipMate UniversityTM Web-Based Training Program on Using Compressed Air are to:
•Communicate
the risks associated with using compressed air
•Describe
some of the common injuries that occur from the improper use of compressed air
•Offer
examples of safe work practices when using compressed air or pneumatic tools
A detailed examination is available and a Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants receiving 80% or better on the comprehensive exam.
