The objectives of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air training program are to
- Familiarize you with the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, its construction and its relationship to other regulatory references
- Describe the procedures and methods for the classification and identification of dangerous goods
- Enable you to select an appropriate basic description and identify the required marks, labels and packaging for a dangerous goods shipment intended for transport by air
- Provide you with useful tools, checklists and templates for preparing dangerous goods shipping papers and other required documentation
Included in the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air web-based training program is a useful library of tools, references, tables and guides, checklists, documentation templates and a glossary of terms and definitions.
Also included in the WBT Library is a useful glossary. The glossary provides a summary of terms and acronyms that are used throughout the ICAO Technical Instructions and the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and in other references commonly used by various competent authorities that regulate the transport of dangerous goods by passenger and cargo aircraft.
A detailed examination is available and a Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants receiving 80% or better on the comprehensive exam.
